Ralph’s Reviews: The 2016 Billboard Music Awards Recap and Winners

There was a lot going on in the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. It was very fast paced and had a little bit of everything for just about everyone. Britney Spears wowed the audience during her performance. She went through seven songs, but I doubt that her music will be what you end up talking about. She was very frisky with her dance moves and she even got on a pole. It was a very racy performance that I am very surprised was approved to make the airwaves on ABC network television. I'm sure those that were watching with young families were cringing through every second, every move of Spears's performance. There hadn't been a performance this racy since Miley Cyrus performance at MTV's VMAs a few years back. During Miley's performance she got her bump and grind on. I'm sure for Spears there was a seven second delay. However, there was no wardrobe malfunction during Britney Spears's performance.

Another noteworthy performance was the steamy duet between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. You could sense the passion as they gave us a small glimpse into the love that they have for each other on stage and off.

There were many performances that were sub-par, but Pink lit up the stage with amazing acrobatics in her performance. Pink has not lost a step and it seems she could have more to come. DNCE rocked out on the BBMA stage as well with their hit ‘Cake by The Ocean’.
