With another Super Bowl I thought it would be good to go over various things that make even non-football fans tune in each year to the big game.
#1 on the list has to be the commercials. Companies spend millions of dollars for a 30 second ad during the Super Bowl, America’s most watched sporting event in an attempt to attract consumers to their product or products. Most companies goals are aimed at winning consumers over through memorable, humorous, or heart warming commercials. A lot of us are waiting for the commercials hoping for cleaver and funny, while others are waiting for that touching moment. Safe to say the commercials are sometimes more anticipated than the actual game.
#2 A close second is having numbers on the game. In other words, betting brings even a non-football fan to watch the game with peak interest at the end of quarters. As each quarter ends, numbers matter a lot in football pots and boards.With small or big cash or prize payouts depending on the amount specified in various football pots and boards.
#3 Last, but not least is the Halftime Show Performances. Of course, that big headline name or names draw in a lot of interests as well. Artists often are enthused to seize the publicity that performing on the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage delivers.
Football fan or not this is usually an event that unites many of us to watch the Super Bowl. Networks and advertisers unite for a different reason as they hope to be the talk of the water cooler the next day. Networks look for large numbers in viewership which obviously is ratings driven. There seems to be a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.
